Description: General Motors operates a major global engineering and technology hub in India, known as the General Motors Technical Centre India (GMTC-I). Located in the Whitefield IT corridor of Bengaluru, the center was established in 2003. Although General Motors officially ceased local vehicle sales and domestic manufacturing in India in 2017, the company has continuously maintained and relied on its Bengaluru engineering footprint as an indispensable node for its global vehicle engineering programs.
